March 2008 - December 2010WBMA-TV is the government access channel of Bloomfield, NJ. We produced studio shows, covered meetings, sporting events, concerts, political debates and live town events. During my stay at WBMA, I was tasked with a large range of roles - producing, running camera and sound, technical directing, grip and gaffer work, editing, compression, technical troubleshooting and data management and upload.

September 2006 - December 2010Managing a cast and crew of over 100, I produced, directed, wrote, shot, art directed and edited narrative shorts and a feature film. I was intricately involved in every step of the projects from conception to distribution. The feature film, The Triumph of William Henry Harrison, was narrated by Ed Asner, featured Jonathan Alter, and won Best Mockumentary at the New York International Film and Video Festival. One of the shorts we created, Portrait of a Whig, screened at festivals around the country and won Best Short Film at the New Jersey Film Festival. Aside from production work, I managed the corporate and legal side of the company, developed promotional materials, created DVD box art and maintained the company website.

With bigger projects, I would hire additional crew, but it was largely a one man band type of operation where I wore all of the hats. Some of my clients were: Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, The Willow Tree Center, The Boy Scouts of New Jersey, The Tomorrow Project, Apple Pond Farm and Renewable Energy Center, The Climate Crisis Coalition, The Pricing Carbon Conference, The Carbon Tax Center, Earth Equity News, Mir-Yam Yoga, South Mountain Peace Action, Sokukoji Buddhist Community, IFCO, The Manhattan Tip to Tip Walk and NJ Prom DJ.

Our primary project is A Place to Stand, a feature length documentary about poet Jimmy Santiago Baca which is scheduled for release in 2014.
